Overview

Cloudscape is an open‑source design system that enables the creation of intuitive, engaging, and inclusive user experiences at scale. It offers a comprehensive set of guidelines for building web applications, along with design resources and front‑end components to accelerate implementation.

Origin and Purpose

Developed in 2016 for Amazon Web Services (AWS) products and services, Cloudscape was created to enhance the user experience across AWS web applications and to help teams deliver those applications more efficiently. Since its inception, the system has been continuously refined based on customer feedback and research.
