React Union is a library designed to render React applications within CMS‑like environments. It enables developers to treat their React apps as widgets, allowing users to select both the combination and placement of widgets on any page.

The core concept replaces direct application rendering with the output of HTML fragments that describe which widgets should be rendered—these are referred to as widget descriptors. React Union parses these HTML fragments and renders the corresponding React components. By operating within a single virtual DOM, this approach simplifies reusing shared resources such as Redux state across multiple widgets.
