Overview

vue-image-zoomer is a lightweight, responsive Vue 2/3 component that enables image zooming on both desktop and touch devices. It is ideal for enhancing product images on e‑commerce sites.

Interaction Modes

• Desktop: Zoom activates on hover (default) or click.
• Touch Devices: Zoom triggers with a tap.

Performance Optimizations

• Images are loaded lazily; only the standard resolution image loads initially, while high‑resolution zoom images load on demand.
• WebP format is supported for efficient loading, with fallbacks to JPEG/PNG for browsers that do not support WebP.

Additional Features

• Optional lazy loading of the regular image.
• Responsive breakpoints allow different image resolutions across device sizes.
